	ETA^® International is a not-for-profit, worldwide professional association founded by electronics technicians and servicing dealers in 1978. Those dedicated professionals saw the need for an association that would be totally independent of any industry influences on its technicians. The sole purpose of our association is to provide recognized professional credentials as a testament to an individual’s skills and knowledge in a particular area of study.

	The International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) has helped train, prepare, and test technicians in the electronics and appliance service industry for over thirty years. The Certified Electronics Technician (CET) Program, founded in 1965, is designed to measure the degree of theoretical knowledge and technical proficiency of practicing technicians. The voluntary certification concept enables employers to separate knowledgeable job applicants from those with less training and skills. The CET program also protects consumers. In the absence of governmental licensing, the Certification Program can help assure consumers that the person entrusted to service their electronic products possesses the knowledge, the training and the experience necessary to do a good job.

	NESDA is the premier trade association for professionals in the business of repairing consumer electronic equipment, appliances, or computers. It is business owners and/or managers working together for self-improvement through cooperation and information-sharing, and professionals contributing to the betterment of their industry.
